Sorry, Melissa, I did feel singled out. I know I shouldn't have, but, I did. I really should have PMed you about it, I'm sorry.

Judi, I like the current sample. Is there going to be a new post about it so people can fix there's accordingly? I really think a 3X5 size is perfect. That should accomadate a list, link and small picture if someone wishes. Or 2 tickers and a list, or many other combinations.

1. Do large pictures slow your downloading time?

No, I have DSL.

2. How many tickers should be allowed?

No more then two. No offense to those who like them, but personally I don't like them at all.

3. How many lines of text should be allowed?

4 to 6...depending on how many pics, tickers, etc.

4. Should we have a rule limiting bytes/pixels or just a general guideline?

General guideline, but maybe with an size example stickied at the top of the forum.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Large pictures don't slow down my uploading time. I have fast internet connection. I personally love the really big pics of the ag dolls and the ones of the children with their dolls. But I think that the tickers should be limited to one and be ag related or your child's birthday. I think the text should be limited to 4-6 lines. I like seeing the lists of all the dolls everyone has and also the links to the imagestation albums. We can post all of our albums in one link. I think a general guideline to the bytes/pixels would be okay.

Judi...I think that sounds great. It's easy, friendly, and hopefully will keep people wanting to enhance their signatures.

If this doesn't work, perhaps I should be banished for eternity. Thanks Judi for trying to get me on the right track. ~Bugs

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I, personally, would say yes. The picture takes a few seconds to load (it's 97,285 bytes), and your sig is definitely larger than 3X5 (the picture looks longer than 3' by itself).

Of course, there doesn't seem to be a precise rule yet, so you might want to wait for them to post one before changing it .

I know I'm new, but I deal with signatures on a daily basis and I will offer my input anyway.

1. Do large pictures slow your downloading time?
I am on a high speed connection and most pictures are ok, but occasionally there are a few that take a while to load.

2. How many tickers should be allowed?
I think 1 tickers is plenty, especially when combined with other images and text.

3. How many lines of text should be allowed?
3-4 lines of text

4. Should we have a rule limiting bytes/pixels or just a general guideline?
I don't think a specific pixel/bytes rule will be necessary as long as everyone has an idea of what is acceptable. As a general though, wider images are easier to scroll past than taller ones.
